Obsidian Sync Plugin

Automatically sync your entire Obsidian vault to LifeVault Secure's encrypted cloud storage. Your notes, attachments, and canvas files are backed up with incremental sync — only changed files are uploaded.

Installation

  1. 1Download the plugin ZIP file
  2. 2Extract to your vault's .obsidian/plugins/lifevault-sync/ folder
  3. 3Enable "LifeVault Secure Sync" in Obsidian Settings → Community Plugins
  4. 4Log in with your LifeVault Secure account and select a target vault

Give the AI agents you build — or the ones you already use — a private, scoped, revocable doorway into your encrypted vault. Issue an Agent API Key, choose a permission scope, and connect.

AI agents need long-term memory. Your vault is the safest place to put it. LifeVault Secure's Agent API gives any tool you trust — your own scripts, an AI assistant, a workflow runner — a programmatic doorway into a vault you choose, governed by a scope you choose.

Every key is scoped (read-only, read-and-write, or admin), labeled, listed in your Settings → Integrations panel, and revocable in one click. Vault contents stay encrypted. Plain text never sits on our servers waiting to be read.

Pick the scope that matches the job

  • 1Read — Read encrypted vault items and list authorized vault metadata. Best for read-only research agents.
  • 2Read & Write (CRUD) — Read items, create and update items, list authorized vault metadata. Best for note-taking, journaling, and capture agents.
  • 3Admin — Full read, create, update, delete, plus manage authorized agent access. Best for orchestration agents that issue or revoke other keys on your behalf.

Native broker integrations with the OpenAI App Directory and Model Context Protocol clients are in active development. Today, any agent that can call an HTTPS API with a Bearer token can connect.
